URGENT MESSAGE!!!

Please Read

Be aware that changing your local telephone service to an Internet-based telephone carrier or DSL will affect and possibly disable your Central Station alarm monitoring service. These services should not be installed on a telephone number that is used for alarm system data transmission to any monitoring facility.

Issues to consider before changing over:
" Loss of 911 service during a power failure; if you don't have a power supply for your modem
" Loss of medical alert and/or home security, including fire, during a power failure
" Possible incompatibilities yet to be determined
" Possible loss of enhanced 911 service resulting in the inability of emergency dispatch center operators to determine your location by your telephone number; at this time, cable companies are making strides towards resolving this issue

WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO CONTACT US PRIOR TO MAKING SUCH A CHANGE IN YOUR TELEPHONE SERVICE TO DISCUSS THE IMPACT ON THE CRITICAL PROTECTIVE CAPABILITY OF YOUR ALARM SYSTEM.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE A CHANGE IN YOUR TELEPHONE SERVICE, PLEASE CONTACT OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY.

For the safety of your family, home, and business, we highly recommend retaining a basic land telephone line for emergency telephone requirements such as calls to 911, medical assistance, and alarm system monitoring services. As a possible alternative means of communication, please request information from our Service Department on radio monitoring.

We also recommend that you do not allow anyone to remove or damage the existing phone wiring in your home. If the wiring is removed or damaged, you will be unable to revert to a standard phone without the expense of replacing the wiring.

Please contact our office with any questions regarding the above information.
